Gas Attendant Robbed At Gunpoint At Garden State Parkway Service Area: State Police

A gas station attendant was robbed of his phone and $500 at gunpoint along the Garden State Parkway, authorities said.

Troopers responded to an armed robbery at about 6:50 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17 on the Garden State Parkway south, Colonia Service Area – Shell Gas Station in Woodbridge Township, according to Detective I Jeffrey Lebron, a New Jersey State Police spokesman.

While parked alongside the Shell pump, a black male and black female exited the vehicle and entered the Dunkin Donuts, while the driver and other passenger, both black males, remained in the vehicle, Lebron said.

Upon the return of the two passengers, the driver, wearing all black with a green bandana, walked over to the gas attendant and brandished a firearm, Lebron said.

The driver stole the victim’s phone and approximately $500 in cash, he said.

All suspects entered the vehicle and fled from the scene southbound on the Garden State Parkway, he said.

This investigation remains ongoing.
